When you subscribe to the Archive for a month or a year, you will receive an email from Worldpay with details of your transaction and your subscription renewal agreement. This email contains instructions about how to cancel your subscription renewal agreement. Alternatively, you can contact Customer Service at 020 7782 5000 or custserv@timesonline.co.uk.

How do I register and subscribe?

The registration process comes into action when you've searched the Archive and clicked on a search result. Once you've completed registration, you are taken to the article page you were looking for. When you revisit the Archive, the log-in page will appear at the same stage; just fill in a search term, and when you click on the search result you want, log in to get through to the page.

If you've already registered, you won't have to do so again when subscribing. The log-in screen will appear, as before, when you click on a search result, and when you've logged in you'll get to the payment screen. As soon as your payment goes through you'll be taken to the article you were searching for.

I have tried to save and print an article but have got a blank page. Why is this happening?

Unfortunately a number of the save/print images were lost during one stage of the Archive launch. We are in the process of restoring them, but it is proving to be a considerable task. Please accept our apologies for now; they should all be available shortly.

Will I be able to view the advertisements?

Yes, display advertisements and the classifieds, including Births, Marriages and Deaths, will all be available.

What is not available in the Archive?

Because of an industrial dispute, The Times was not published between December 1, 1978, and November 12, 1979, so apologies if this coincides with your birthday, or any other particular event you want to look up. There are a few individual pages missing from other years. We hope they will be added shortly. If you are able to email us at technical@timesonline.co.uk with the details of any pages you find are missing (date and page number), that will help us greatly to repair the gaps.
